"...simply breathtaking."

The sisters Anouchka & Katharina Hack, cello and piano, have been playing together since they exist. Leaping from their musician family´s living room onto the big and small stages some fifteen years ago, they have since brought the sound of sisterhood to a wide range of ears across the globe.
Trailblazing programming, a levitation-inducing sense for timing and colours and a golden vinyl sound have brought them to venues like the Konzerthaus Berlin, Beethovenfest and Beethovenhaus Bonn, Stadtcasino Basel and Konzerthaus Dortmund.

Combining music by Alicia Keys with Ludwig van Beethoven, improvising together, live in concert - no safety lines - , creating programmes that speak of connection and hope - no AI - , celebrating all-time-favorites and secret discoveries, melting strings and keys with fervor and softness, their musical living room has expanded onto the world´s stages, with an open invitation for anyone.

Recent and upcoming highlights include: Recitals at Konzerthaus Berlin, Beethovenhaus Bonn, Beethovenfest, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, “Rising Stars” at Stadtcasino Basel, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Mendelssohnhaus Leipzig, WDR chamber concerts – solo concerti (double and triple) at Konzerthaus Dortmund and Cologne Philharmonie with the Dortmunder Philharmoniker

and Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie – Album releases at Berlin Classics (“DNA” in October 2026, with WDR, and “Alle Menschen werden Schwestern” in October 2024, with Deutschlandfunk) – “Sororité” with author Tilmann Strasser, a program dedicated to the sisters Lili and Nadia Boulanger.Anouchka & Katharina have curated the meetMUSIC Festival from 2021-2025 and continue to let their creativity reign with their concert series “KLASSIK & COCKTAILS” in their hometown Dortmund.

Cellist Anouchka Hack (*1996), loves to wear heavy rings - among them the Beethoven Ring 2025 - and tempts human voices out of a 1769 Bartolomeo Tassini cello (on loan from Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben).
She performs as a soloist at Gewandhaus Leipzig, Casals Forum Kronberg and Laeiszhalle Hamburg, with orchestras such as Philharmonia Prague, WKO Heilbronn and Sinfonieorchester Göttingen. Her solo recital “Inner worlds” dreams up new galaxies within the singular voice of the cello (and sometimes, the cellist). As a chamber musician, Anouchka plays with Gautier Capuçon (Philharmonie de Paris, Wigmore Hall), Tabea Zimmermann, Antoine Tamestit and Daniel Müller-Schott. She has recently toured in Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Argentina and Thailand.
Anouchka Hack studied at the reknowned Kronberg Academy with Prof. Frans Helmerson and has been supported by the Mozart-Gesellschaft Dortmund, Ritter-Stiftung, Possehl-Stiftung, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Wilo-Foundation, Deutsche Orchesterstiftung and Neustart Kultur.

Pianist Katharina Hack (*1994) is particularly inspired by and decicated to the charme and warmth of Frédéric Chopin´s music, making any piano sing and breathe. She composes her own music, first published on the Duo´s 2026 album “DNA”.
She performs as a soloist at the Philharmonie Berlin and Cologne Philharmonie, with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and the Hauptstadt-Sinfonieorchester, among others, and plays a multitude of piano recitals, featuring her own music next to pieces of the piano olymp - recently in Split, at the Liszt Festival Schillingsfürst and at Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival.
Together with violinist Fedor Rudin and clarinettist Zilvinas Brazauskas, she made her debut in the Elbphilharmonie's main hall in 2022 - shortly after making her debut as a mother.
She is studying for her concert exam with Bernd Glemser at the Würzburg University of Music, where she also worked as an assistant for chamber music; she received further artistic impulses at masterclasses with Bernd Goetzke, Sir Andras Schiff and Andrzej Jasinski. Katharina Hack has been supported by the Ritter-Stiftung, Possehl-Stiftung, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Artur und Liselotte Dumcke-Stiftung, Wilo-Foundation and Neustart Kultur.
